A new retail business located in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque will specialize in products for people who are undergoing cancer treatments.

Angel Wellness Boutique is scheduled to open next week in a 900-square-foot space at 8318 4th Street NW near Paseo del Norte.

Owner Sylvia Bencomo said the store will offer an extensive line of wigs, turbans, hairpieces, breast forms, mastectomy bras and skin care products. The boutique will feature brands such as Amoena — one of the largest manufacturers of breast forms — Lindi, a skin care company specializing in the needs of cancer patients, and Juzo arm sleeves and gloves for women who are at risk of developing lymphedema after radiation or chemotherapy.

Bencomo said she is a breast cancer survivor and her eldest daughter has also gone through cancer treatments.

“I decided I wanted to devote myself to helping women find their confidence and self-esteem while going through cancer treatment,” Bencomo said.

Bencomo said she is an Air Force veteran and former government worker. This is the first time she has owned and operated a business.

Angel Wellness Boutique will hold a soft opening Aug. 6 and a grand opening Aug. 10. For more information, contact Bencomo via email angelwellnessbtq@gmail.com or call (505) 933-1069.
